Nicknamed the Texas Tornado, Colin Edwards has won the World Superbike Championship twice. Colin Edwards, the Texas Tornado, rode the team Castrol Honda VTR 1000 SP-1 to victory in the World Superbike Championship in 2000. 2000 was the year it all came together for the Texas Tornado. Honda delivered its new twin cylinder, the VTR 1000 SP-1 (RC51). Colin began the new millennium with a double win in the seaon opener at Kyalami, followed up by wins at Donington park, Monza, Assen and another double at Oschersleben and at the final round of 2000, with Colin winning the last race of the seaon at Brands Hatch. |
