1955 Mille Miglia by Michael Turner

Driving the fabulous 300SLR Mercedes, 25 year old Stirling Moss scored one of his greatest victories in the gruelling Mille Miglia of 1955. Partnered by Denis Jenkinson, whose pace notes helped to guide him round the treacherous 1000 mile course, Moss took the lead at Rome. He then proceeded to confound the tradition that he who leads at Rome never wins by racing on to a famous victory, the first ever by a Briton and in the fastest time ever recorded of 10 hours 7 minutes and 48 seconds, an average speed of 97.9mph.

This victory secured his fifth World Championship title only half-way through the 2002 season.

Family Contest by Michael Turner  Michael Schumachers Ferrari fends off a strong challenge from brother Ralf Schumacher in the Williams-BMW to win the 2001 European Grand Prix. This victory at the Nurburgring was another step towards his successful bid for the 2001 World Championship.

1957 Grand Prix of Pescara by Michael Turner.  Pescara, on Italys Adriatic coast, was one of the heroic pre-war circuits, used only once for a World Championship Grand Prix in the post war years. In 1957, following his historic victory with Tony Brooks at Aintree in July, Stirling Moss underlined their emerging dominance of the British team by winning the race in his Vanwall.He took the lead on lap three from Luigi Mussos Ferrari, and finished three minutes ahead of Fangios Maserati after 18 tortuous laps of the 16-mile circuit on bumpy, dusty roads with up and down hill twists and turns, village street, hairpins and long engine bursting straights.

Clark Supreme by Michael Turner  Jim Clark put in a masterly drive in his Lotus-Climax to win the 1963 Belgian Grand Prix on the storm drenched Spa-Franchorchamps circuit. He is seen here slicing past Godin de Beauforts Porsche, which finished sixth, and lapped all but the second placed Cooper of Bruce McLaren.

Anthony Gibbs was born in 1951 in Birmingham. He went to Bourneville School of Art for one year, but is mostly self-taught. His first one man show was in 1976 at the Colmore Galleries, with further one man exhibitions at this venue following, in 1977, 1978, 1981, 1983, 1988 and 1991. Anthony Gibbs had a one man exhibition Nature In Art at Wallsworth Hall, Gloucestershire in 2000. His first limited edition print released February 1988 - White Tigers Ever Watchful – was an edition of 1550, the largest edition of a limited print by Solomon and Whitehead at the time, and the largest order from the from the USA (650) they have ever had. He went to Kenya for the first time in February 1989, and is a member of the Society of Animal Artists in New York, The Woodland Trust. He won the Peoples Choice Award on a national tour exhibition of the USA in 1992 and 1993, with the Society of Animal Artists. Anthony Gibbs was awarded the Award of Excellence Medal from the Society in 1997 and 2001. He has exhibited at numerous venues across the USA with the Society of Animal Artists and also across Britain – exhibitions including the Mall Galleries, Nature In Art, Wildfowl And Wetlands Trust, London. He has sold work through both Christies and Sotherbys. Anthony Gibbs went to the Yellowstone National Park and Tetons National Park to study the wildlife and habitat in the U.S.A. in 2003.
